What a bunch of crap. The democrats manufactured this so called republican war on women to confuse a gullible electorate. No one in the republican party has said that they want to deny anyone from obtaining birth control. It is and always will be available to anyone who wants it. What some republicans have said is that religous groups should not be mandated to supply free birth control through their insurance companies if it is against their teachings. This is all about the freedom of religion and the constitution. Wake up people, your goverment is slowly taking your rights away while you sit by because you want free stuff. Nothing is free. It's all about revenue. If the police were really worried about traffic safety, they would have been directing traffic at the Rt. 684 and Rt. 35 intersection when the signals were out for days, instead of letting everyone fend for themselves. It was a miracle that no one was hurt. Now they are worried about speeding at the intersection of Rt. 35 and Rt. 100? That light was also out and all they did was put up warning flags days later. This goes for the Somers police force too. They are good enough to be there with their radar, but could not handle traffic control at one of the most accident prone intersections in town. When the police became revenue makers for the state and local governments, the public's safety became secondary. View Comment
