NORTH SALEM, N.Y. – The National Weather Service advises that light snow, sleet and freezing rain will continue throughout the daylight hours on Monday, but the total snow accumulation will probably amount to less than an inch, with little or no ice accumulation expected.
Freezing rain and sleet are likely to continue on and off until midnight, followed by intermittent changes to drizzle between midnight and 3 a.m. There may be sleet or freezing rain after 3 a.m., but temperatures will hover around 30, so little accumulation is expected.
North Salem schools had an early dismissal Monday. All after school activities are canceled.
As of 1:30 p.m., Monday, both Con Edison and NYSEG report there are no power outages in Westchester or Putnam counties.
Tuesday will bring a slight chance of showers, with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 45 degrees.
