Pequenakonck Students Urged To Join Halloween Mask Contest

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. -- Students at Pequenakonck Elementary School (PQ) are invited to create their scariest - or funniest - Halloween masks for a decorating contest.

The contest, which is being co-sponsored by PQ's PTO and the North Salem Recreation Department, will be judged separately for grades K through 5.

Special ribbons will be given for the first, second and third-place finishers for each grade, while all entrants will get participant ribbons.

The deadline for submission is Oct. 18; the drop-off point is at the school's office.

The masks will subsequently be displayed at PQ's library.
