The Parade of Lights will give people the opportunity to tour the best holiday displays in Somers using the most efficient driving route, according to a release from the Somers Lions Club.

The Parade of Lights will start in the Somers High School parking lot at 6 p.m. Each participating vehicle will receive glow sticks, so those in the caravan can be identified.

The organizers are also working on getting hot chocolate for participants. Click here for the route map, which is being updated daily with new "finds." No login is necessary.

Participants will have the opportunity to submit a vote for their favorites and honorable mentions at the end of the tour. They may also tour on their own at any time by using the route map.

Anyone who knows of a location that should be added to the route, please let the Somers Lions club know by calling (914) 302-4546. Addresses will not be published year, but the organizers will make sure the route goes past the location with easy directions to enter/exit each neighborhood.
