Nighttime Art with Maggie Zander: 7 p.m. Maggie Zander’s art class is open to all levels, from beginners to experts. Materials are supplied. It meets every Monday evening at the Ruth Keeler LIbrary, 276 Titicus Road, North Salem.
Tuesday, March 5
Story Time on the Farm: 1 to 1:30 p.m. Join the Muscoot Farmers to hear stories about farm adventures. Muscoot Farm is on Route 100, south of Route 35 in Somers.
North Salem Booster Club: 7 p.m. The Booster Club meets in the Home Economics Room at North Salem Middle/High School, 230 June Road, North Salem.
High School Instrumental Concert: 8 p.m. The concert take places at North Salem High School, 230 June Road, North Salem.
Wednesday, March 6
Writers Workshop: 11 a.m. Join a series of writing workshops led by Pam Pooley. All writers (and wannabe writers) are invited to share their work, or desire to write, in a supportive atmosphere. Registration is not required and drop-ins are welcome. This program is free. This event is on the first Wednesday of every month at the Ruth Keeler Memorial Library, 276 Titicus Road, North Salem
North Salem Winter Festival: 4 to 7 p.m. (postponed from Feb. 8). Indoor soccer tournaments, a bake sale, activity booths, raffles and a movie will highlight this event, organized to raise funds for the Baumler and Robson families, whose sons were lost during Hurricane Sandy. Tickets for the various events range from $3 to $5. All will take place in the Middle/High School, 230 June Road. For further information, call (914) 669-9459.
A Night for Charity: 5 p.m. Keller Williams Realty and Traditions 118 Restaurant join forces for the second time to raise money for a group of charity organizations, including Autism Speaks, CHOP Inc., Relay for Life and KW Cares. Keller Williams staff and agents will serve and all tips go to the charities. Bring cash or check for your charitable “tip.” Call (914) 248-7200 for reservations. Furthering Fair & Affordable Housing: 7 p.m. A consortium of Northern Westchester towns and the Blue Mountain Development Corporation will sponsor a discussion of the HUD affordable housing settlement and what it means to local residents. Light refreshments will be served. It’s at the Bedford Town Court House, 321 Bedford Road, Bedford Hills.
Planning Board Meeting: 7:30 p.m. The board meets in the Town Hall Annex, 274 Titicus Road, North Salem.
Board of Education Meeting: 7:30 p.m. The board meets in the library of the Middle/High School, 230 June Road, North Salem.
Thursday, March 7
Bagels & Books: 10:30 a.m. This week the group discusses “Caleb’s Crossing” by Geraldine Brooks. If you need a copy of the book, call the Ruth Keeler Library at (914) 669-5161. No registration is necessary and drop-ins are welcome. The Ruth Keeler Memorial Library is at 276 Titicus Road, North Salem.
"The Pajama Game": 7 p.m. Kennedy Catholic High School Players Club presents the Broadway musical in conjunction with its annual art show. Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for seniors and students. Additional performances take place on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. For tickets, call (914) 232-5061, ext. 226.
Schoolhouse Theater: 8 p.m. The newly renovated theater presents its debut performance of “Ten Unknowns” by John Robin Baitz (postponed from Feb. 28). The show will continue with performances on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. The final performance is March 30. Tickets range from $33 to $35.
