Beaches In North Salem Cleared After Algae Concerns

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. -- Warnings were issued because of blue-green algae concerns at beaches in North Salem, according to News 12.

The Westchester County Department of Health has run tests at beaches at Peach Lake and cleared the concerns, , according to News 12.

The town is still asking residents to be aware and look for the algae, which can cause vomiting, rashes and difficulty breathing. Residents are also asked not to let pets in the water because they could come across the algae and be unaware. The county will continue testing, according to News 12.
