The closure will last from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to the county's announcement, which also notes detours.

"A detour will be posted using Route 100/202 and Route 22," the notice states. "Police personnel and flaggers will be in place to direct motorists."

Closures of the bridge, which is undergoing an overhaul, have become more frequent this month. Completion of the bridge work has been delayed from early October, according to an announcement from North Salem Supervisor Warren Lucas, who brought up the possibility of a late-October reopening of both of the bridge's lanes.

The bridge is borders with Somers in Westchester and Carmel and Southeast in Putnam.
