Strong gusty winds resulted in about 2,000 customers spending at least part of their Christmas without power in Northern Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess counties on Monday.
At 5 p.m., NYSEG reported 1,778 outages - 1,100 in Putnam and 668 in Northern Westchester.
A total of 340 were without power in Dutchess, according to Central Hudson, with 240 of them in East Dutchess.
Con Edison reported just a handful of outages in its coverage area encompassing the majority of Westchester.
A High Wind Advisory expired at 6 p.m. Monday.
