Search Resumes For Missing Plane In North Salem Reservoir

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. -- The search for a single-engine plane lost on radar early Thursday evening while on approach to Danbury Airport believed to have crashed into the Titicus Reservoir in North Salem has resumed Friday morning.

The missing plane is believed to be a Beechcraft Bonanza, similar to the one shown here.

The search had been called off after midnight because of dense fog.

Emergency responders from several municipalities responded to the scene with boats in the reservoir searching for the plane, believed to be a Beechcraft Bonanza, after witnesses reportedly saw the plane go down. (See accompanying photo.)
