Erratic Driver, Vandalized Car, Top Mount Kisco Police Blotter

A Mount Kisco man was arrested this week after allegedly speeding, driving erratically and nearly striking a mother and daughter.

Zackary Frey, 27, was charged with reckless driving and speeding on Wednesday morning after a woman reported that she and her daughter were walking in a Stewart Place parking lot when he nearly hit them.

Frey was released on his own recognizance after being cited and is due in Mount Kisco Justice Court on Aug. 23 to answer the charges.

Other items on the Mount Kisco Police Department blotter from Monday, Aug. 13 thorugh Thursday, Aug. 16 include:

  • The Mount Kisco Parks and Recreation Department reported to Westchester County Police on Tuesday Aug. 14 that someone broke into the electrical room at the Tea House in Leonard Park. Nothing was removed from the room, though the cost of repairing the door was an estimated $200.
  • A Mount Kisco man was caught driving drunk in a stolen Chevrolet pickup truck and took officers on a brief chase.
  • Westchester County Police were alerted by a South Moger Avenue business owner who reported that a former employee is harassing other employees, sending them unwanted mail and approaching them on the street. The issue is currently under investigation.
  • On Monday, Aug. 13, a Mount Kisco resident reported that his car had been vandalized overnight on Carpenter Street. He woke up to find that his tire was flattened and there was spray paint on one side of the car.
