Man Drove Drunk, Left Scene Of Northern Westchester Crash, Police Say

A 38-year-old Northern Westchester man was charged with two DWIs after Yorktown Police say he fled the scene of a car crash on Crow Hill Road near the Mount Kisco border on Monday afternoon.

A Croton man was charged with two DWIs and leaving the scene of an accident on Crow Hill Road near the Yorktown/Mount Kisco border.

Victor Melchor of Croton was charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated with blood-alcohol content of .18 percent or more, both misdemeanors and leaving the scene of a property damage accident, a traffic infraction.

Police were able to locate Melchor on Route 129 and found him to be intoxicated and driving without a license. He was arrested at the scene and transported back to headquarters.

He was released on $150 bail and is due back in court on Jan. 4.
