The crash took place around 9 a.m., Monday, in the area of 668 Union Valley Road, according to Mahopac EMS.

Along with units from the Carmel Police Department, a call for a second ambulance from Mahopac Falls was dispatched. 

Chief Bill Nikisher arrived on the scene with Mahopac EMS and assumed command as they began a triage of the patients.

One patient was transported to the hospital. 

Fire police and firefighters took control of the traffic freeing up Carmel police officers to investigate the crash.
