Officers from the Scarsdale Police Department were dispatched to the CVS Pharmacy on Popham Road at approximately 9 p.m. on Sunday night, where there was a report of a larceny that had happened earlier in the evening.

Police said that while speaking with employees, it was reported that they saw a white woman walk away from the store, taking off with at least three cases of beer southbound on Popham Road, into Greenburgh. Employees attempted to stop the woman, but were unable to before she made off in a red, late model Hyundai.

According to police, while speaking with a store manager, he stated he did not personally view the alleged theft, but had video evidence of the crime, which was reviewed by investigators.

On the video, police said that they spotted a white woman described as having reddish-brown hair, who was approximately 5-foot-6 wearing a light blue tank top, blue jeans and black flip-flops.

It was not clear what brand of beer was stolen from the store. The case remains under investigation. Check Daily Voice for updates.
