South Salem Couple Charged With Heroin, Cocaine Possession

SOUTH SALEM, N.Y. -- New York State Police charged a man and woman from South Salem with possession of several drugs, including hundreds of bags of heroin, during a traffic stop on Monday, June 9, police officials said.

Anthony J. Miozzi, 29, and Tara E. O'Dell, 29, were pulled over on State Route 23 in Cairo and were allegedly found to be in possession of 225 bags of heroin, 15 grams of cocaine, and several oxycontin pills. Miozzi also allegedly was in possession of an illegal switchblade according to State Police. 

Miozzi and O'Dell were arrested and face multiple drug charges. Both were remanded to Greene County Jail. No bail was set for Miozzi and O'Dell's was set at $1,000 cash or $2,000 bond, State Police said.
