Two Northern Westchester Residents Charged With DWI In State Police Stops

More than two dozen motorists were busted by New York State Police troopers recently as law enforcement agencies in the Hudson Valley continue a nationwide crackdown on drunk, drugged and distracted driving.

Among the local motorists charged include: 

Westchester County

  • On Saturday, Sept. 15, State Police from Cortlandt arrested Luis V. Barreto Angamarca, 26, of Peekskill, for DWI. He was traveling on Furnace Dock Road in Cortlandt, when he was involved in a one-car motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Sept. 16, State Police from Cortlandt arrested Amanda A. Deagan, 25, of Cortlandt Manor, for DWAI Drugs with a prior conviction within ten years, a class E felony. She was traveling on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Mount Pleasant, when she was involved in a two-car motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that she was impaired by drugs, and was subsequently arrested.

Dutchess County

  • On Friday, Sept. 14, State Police from Poughkeepsie arrested Ann P. Scianna, 58, of East Fishkill, for DWI. She was traveling on Noxon Road in LaGrange, when she was involved in a one-car motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Friday, Sept. 14, State Police from Livingston arrested Danielle L. Defraia, 32, of Pleasant Valley, for DWI. She was traveling on the State Route 199 in Rhinebeck, when she was interviewed during a fixed DWI safety road check. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Friday, Sept. 14, State Police from Stormville arrested Joseph A. Antenucci, 62, of Poughkeepsie, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 55 in Poughkeepsie, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Sept. 15, State Police from Wappinger arrested Natalie A. Siedlecki, 47, of Wappinger, for DWI. She was traveling on Apple Blossom Lane in Wappinger, when she went off the roadway and struck a utility pole. Investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Sept. 15, State Police from Cortlandt arrested Eddie J. Frazier, 43, of Wappinger, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 9 in Cortlandt, when he stopped to defecate on the side of the roadway. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, September 16, State Police from Livingston arrested Sabrina M. Hart, 24, of Rhinebeck, for Aggravated DWI. She was traveling on Mount Rutsen Road in Rhinebeck, when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Sept. 16, State Police from Somers arrested Javier Bobadilla Jr., 32, of Holmes, for DWI. He was traveling on Interstate 684 in Bedford, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Sept. 16, State Police from Wappinger arrested Thomas J. Usher, 52, of Beekman, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 376 in East Fishkill, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Monday, Sept. 17, State Police from Poughkeepsie arrested Frank J. Roberts, 19, of Pleasant Valley, for DWAI Drugs. He was found sleeping on the Taconic State Parkway in Pleasant Valley, in his vehicle. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by drugs, and was subsequently arrested.

Putnam County

  • On Friday, Sept. 14, State Police from Brewster arrested Marco T. Gonzalez-Borja, 41, of Brewster, for DWI. He was involved in a two-car motor vehicle crash in the parking lot of Xtra Mart in Brewster. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, September 15, State Police from East Fishkill arrested Matthew L. Rooney, 29, of Brewster, for DWI with a Prior Conviction within ten years, a class E felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, class A misdemeanor. He was traveling on Interstate 84 in Southeast, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested. Additional investigation found he was in possession of a small quantity of cocaine.

Fairfield County

  • On Saturday, Sept. 15, State Police from Somers arrested Stephen N. Parrett, 54, of Norwalk, for Aggravated DWI. He was traveling on the Smith Ridge Road in Lewisboro, when he was found stuck in an unrelated person’s front yard while attempting to make a U-turn. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Sept. 16, State Police from Brewster arrested Joseph J. Ortiz, 57, of New Fairfield, for DWI, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a motor vehicle in the 3rd degree, both misdemeanors. He was traveling on State Route 22 in Southeast, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
