Bridgeport Detectives Charge Suspect In August Robbery

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Bridgeport Police detectives arrested a suspect Thursday in connection with the armed robbery of CT Auto Inc.

The incident happened on Aug. 28 at 7 Wayne St.  Detectives secured video from the auto shop that they said showed the armed suspect. The video was released to the public and inside the department.

Through assistance from the community, Det. Chris Borona was identified the suspect as Marcus Pleasant, whose last known address was on Garfield Avenue in Bridgeport, police said.

Detectives went to Pleasant's home Thursday and he acknowledged his role in the robbery, police said. Additional arrests are expected.

Pleasant was charged with first-degree robbery and carrying a pistol without a permit. His bond was set at $150,000.
