D’Agostino Elected North Salem Board of Education President

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. – The North Salem Board of Education has elected Deb D’Agostino, a 25-year resident of North Salem, to replace Katherine Daniels as the president of the board for the 2012-13 school year. D’Agostino has been on the board for three years and has served as vice president.

D’Agostino holds a master's degree in public health from Columbia University and a bachelor's degree in psychology from Fordham University. She is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and president of P4H, Inc., an architectural facility planning firm, specializing in health care and high technology.

As the parent of two children who were educated in the North Salem Central School District, D’Agostino said, “Both my kids got a terrific education in North Salem and they were really well prepared for college. I opted to get involved with the board after they graduated in order to see that quality continue."

"I think the board is in a very good place right now," she added. "It’s difficult work and we’ve made a good start. I’ll continue with the same philosophy, looking three bends down the road.”

Daniels remains on the board and replacing D'Agostino as vice president will be Andrew Brown, who has been on the board for several years.
