The remains, which were discovered in Putnam County behind the Putnam Diner on Route 22, in Patterson could be those of Lealcria DeLima, 53, of Danbury. DeLima was last seen on Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, leaving home in a 2016 red Honda after telling her two children that she loved them and was going to a local Walmart to pick up a prescription, said Danbury Police at the time. The crash, between a car and pickup truck, occurred just north of the rest area near I-84 during the evening commute on Thursday evening, Sept. 19. The left and middle lanes were closed with the car facing southbound in the northbound lanes. Before the crash scene was cleared just before 7 p.m. stop-and-go delays of two hours stretched back to Route 22/Route 138 (Exit 6A) in Goldens Bridge.

New York State Police troopers responded to the incident Putnam County at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 19. The investigation into the crash determined that an SUV was making a left into Kelly’s Corner in Brewster, when it was broadsided by a Jeep Grand Cherokee. The crash forced southbound lane closures. No injuries have been reported.
