The campaign was started by Holly Myslim-Cipriani for her son, Joey, who suffered a stroke. Joey was rushed to Putnam Hospital on March 26, unable to breathe. He was later sent to Westchester Medical Center and had double pneumonia, sepsis, flu, and Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Myslim-Cipriani said.
