Nor'easter: New Road Closure Announced In Westchester
As a Nor'easter continues to dump rain causing flash flooding in the area, another major roadway in the region has closed. According to the Westchester County Police, the Bronx River Parkway is now closed in both directions between the County Center in White Plains and the Sprain Brook Parkway split located in Yonkers around midday on Tuesday, Oct. 28. Road Closed After Truck Overturns In Westchester
A busy Westchester roadway was forced to close after a tractor-trailer overturned and spilled debris in the roadway. On Monday, Oct. 18, first responders from the Yonkers Police and Fire departments responded to a stretch of Yonkers Avenue, where a truck overturned when the driver failed to negotiate a turn. The overturned truck led to the closure of Yonkers Avenue between the Saw Mill River Parkway and Midland Avenue as emergency crews worked to clear the scene. Multi-Vehicle I-95 Crash Snarls Traffic
Traffic on a stretch of I-95 is at a standstill after a serious multi-vehicle crash near the border of Westchester and Fairfield counties. The crash, involving at least four vehicles, happened late Saturday afternoon, Sept. 18 on the southbound side in Greenwich. There is stopped traffic at the scene and delays stretching back for several miles at 5:30 p.m.

Expect Delays: Taconic Parkway Stretch To Be Closed For Repairs
Motorists on the Taconic State Parkway can expect some delays due to a roadway closure in the area. The New York State Department of Transportation said the roadway will be closed along the southbound lanes in Dutchess County between Exit 47 and Exit 45 in the town of Lagrangeville. The road will be closed for repairs beginning Thursday, Sept. 9 at 10 a.m. through about 6 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 10. The department said motorists should follow the posted detour utilizing Route 55 and Route 82.

Drenching downpours from Tropical Storm Henri have caused a new road closure in Westchester on Sunday evening, Aug. 22. The Hutchinson River Parkway is closed southbound from Hutch Boulevard to East Lincoln Avenue and northbound lanes closed from Boston Post Road to East Lincoln Avenue. Heavy traffic and delays are expected as the New York State Thruway Authority plans to close a bridge over I-95 in Westchester for the summer. Officials are cautioning that the Boston Post Road Bridge over I-95 in Rye will be closed beginning on Tuesday, July 6, with the closure expected to last through at least Wednesday, Sept. 1. Serious Crash Causes I-84 Closure
A busy stretch of I-84 is closed during the height of the morning commute after a serious crash in Connecticut. The closure is in both directions after the crash involving a rolled-over tractor-trailer happened on the eastbound side just before 8 a.m. Tuesday, March 30 in Northern Fairfield County near Exit 13. Law enforcement agencies in Westchester handed out dozens of summonses over the weekend as they targeted vehicles that had fraudulent license plates amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
