Man Charged With Burglarizing Westchester Health In Yorktown YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N. Y. -- A 66-year-old New Jersey man is facing felony burglary and criminal mischief charges after a police investigation connected him to forcefully entering Westchester Health in Yorktown and damaging an office inside, police said.Steven Searcy of Union City, N. Norwalk Man Honored For Jumping In To Help Save Overboard Boater NORWALK, Conn. -- A Norwalk resident is being hailed a hero for his efforts to help police save a victim of a September boating accident in Long Island Sound.Members of the Norwalk Police Department and Police Commission gave Michael Golden a Civilian Award last week for his efforts in the September incident. State Court Upholds Removal Of Longtime Spring Valley, Ramapo Judge RAMAPO, N.Y. -- An appeal from Judge Alan Simon that he remain on the bench in Ramapo and Spring Valley was rejected by New York's Court of Appeals, upholding a state commission finding that he lacks fitness to serve as a judge.New York's top court sided with the state Commission on Judicial Conduct, which brought six charges of misconduct against Simon for inappropriate behavior in court. Fairfield Dog Owners Fined In Fatal Cat Attack In Easton EASTON, Conn. -- The owners of two dogs from Fairfield were fined after their animals got loose and attacked and killed a cat in Easton, according to the Easton Courier. Easton authorities say the two husky dogs were in quarantine after the Wednesday incident, the story said. The cat's owner was injured while trying to break up the attack, the Easton Courier reports. The dogs' owners were given a ticket and fined for allowing the dogs to roam, the Courier said. The cat's owner was treated and released from a walk-in clinic, the Easton Courier said. Y. -- Sister Marie de Lourdes Nassauer, a Maryknoll Sister for 69 years who has worked as a teacher and nurse in North and South America, died Oct. 17 at Maryknoll. She was 86.Born Jan. 19, 1930, to Eva and Stuart Nassauer in Brooklyn, she was baptized as Marie de Lourdes.
